Writer's Block: Close Call

Accidents happen all the time, and often we walk away miraculously uninjured. What has been your closest call with avoiding serious harm in an accident?

View 503 Answers

Before I could drive really well my mom took me out to a four lane intersection with a median and made me drive into it. She didnt tell me which way we were going or anything an di'd never done it before so, of course, we ended up going the WRONG way down the highway. That was bad, and totally not my fault. But there were very few cars because it was late.

Writer's Block: Untimely Passing

RIP John Lennon. The list of sudden and unexpected celebrity deaths is long—Princess Di, Heath Ledger, Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Monroe, and many more. Which one affected you the most on an emotional level?

Freddie Mercury, without a doubt. I wasn't even alive when he died but it's still so sad.  He is one of my idols.

Writer's Block: Department of Stereotypes

One of the most popular gender stereotypes is that women ask for directions while men would rather be lost than ask for help. In your personal experience, does this stereotype hold true?

View 500 Answers

Yes, except in the case of my mom who would never ask for directions, of bother with something as silly as a map.

Saving the World One Puppy at a Time

I seem to be a stray magnet, my dears. Today I was driving to Violin lessons and all of a sudden the traffic stopped completely and I looked out and saw the smallest dog I have ever seen standing next to this car. So this redneck idiot jumps out of his truck and was going to grab it but he took one look at it and literally ran back into his car. So I stepped in (i was planning to lie to the guy anyway and tell him it was my dog, if you want something done right, do it yourself) and by this time the dog had crawl/walked right under the wheel of the van in front of us so ran up and grabbed it and it was quite the sight. The redneck idiot's redneck idiot wife rolled her window down and said , (just like this, i swear)

"Hunny yall better put 'im back cuz he looks purty sick. I wouldnt be touchin him if i was you." I told her that I did not care in the least.

So we got him back in the car and he was quite the sight. Im pretty sure he was a black lab mix. He wasnt the little dog that I thought he was, but he was a puppy. Probably about 4-5 months old and skinnier than I ever thought a dog could possibly be. And seriously tiny I didnt know a dog (that wasnt a chuiaua) could ever be THAT little.

He was totally blind, too because both of his eyes were sealed totally shut and had this awful pus litteraly dripping off his face. and his nose was completely stopped up with dirt and more eye gunk. Which gave him the rather awful appearance. But he was very trusting and he never made a sound (until I tried to wipe his nose off, he didn't like that). We took him straight to the vet.
They told us that he had Distemper and it didn't look good. He also was (obviously) malnourished and had an eye infection and a nose infection. and maybe worms. So they're going to admit him to their little vet hospital. They said that they doubted that he was going to make it but I have TOTAL faith in the little dude. He was just tough, you could tell.

I wanted to cry thought. If I find whatever bastard dropped him off I will (hire a very large man) to beat the living shit out of them. :). He had a collar on but the vet said he had been sick for longer than he had been a stray. so somebody knew he was sick and didn't want to take care of him. Bastards.

So I really hope he makes it. Theres the hurdle of finding him a home if he does but that should be the good part.

~Till then

Writer's Block: Ghost Stories

Everyone enjoys a ghost story. Or at least knows one. What is the scariest ghost story you've ever heard?

View 501 Answers

I can't even remember the title but I remeber that is was generally about :

Someone was killed in this castle in England (or Ireland) and the King ordered their body to be quartered and one of the pieces be burried at each corner of the castle. Every night after that the ghost would rise up and put itself back together and crawl slowly through the castle leaving a trail of rotted flesh behind...

Thats all I can remember from it, unfortunately, but the long description of this rotted corpse crawling down the hallway made a serious impression on me.

another one was called something like Lyn Grassin, im not spelling that right, Grace's Well in English, it was an old Dutch story about a girl named Grace who looked after the town well. I dont remember enough to tell it tho.
